Supplied in easy-to-use soluble chips, Bekro is highly concentrated and is manufactured to exceptional quality. It uses a UV stabiliser and antioxidant system that ensures that dyes and pigments remain stable to minimise colour fading either during production or by light after they are used.
In candle making they do not clog the wick like some dyes can, they melt smoothly and evenly and work particularly well with soy wax. Bekro dye chips have a minimal impact on burn performance, so you know you will still get a beautifully scented candle.
How Can Bekro Be Used?
With a choice of over 50 colours available, they will give your candles an amazing depth of colour. They are easy to use and all you need to do is to stir them very well with the wax at around 70°C.
Use at 1gm/kilo for slightly lighter shades, and at 2gm/kilo for slightly deeper shades. Amounts of dye might vary for natural waxes, so we recommend testing a small sample first.
A simple tip to check the wax shade and to save time is to take out a teaspoon of coloured wax before you pour it. Let it cool and you will see the indicative shade that you can expect to achieve.
