This is exciting and you are about to start a addictive journey :) To start with you maybe best to purchase a beginner kit, which will have everything you need to start making a candle, see Candle supplies and Kits. In a nut shell you will need a Bain Marie, a thermometer, a jug, your chosen wax, wick, glue dot, vessel and fragrance oil along with any dye you would like. While we cannot take payments over the phone currently, feel free to call us and we can advise on alternative ways to pay.

Our pricing for all orders is based on giving our customers best value for money. Up to 2kg we use Royal Mail second class (which they say to allow 3-5 working days). We also offer the option of 1st class with Royal Mail. Over 2kg we use a courier, which is usually DPD or DHL. If you have an urgent need for the items please contact us to let us know and we will do our best to assist you. We can quote for guaranteed timed delivery as well as Saturday and Sunday delivery if you need.

Our webstore adds up the total weight of each item and automatically calculates the correct postage cost for your order. If you place your order and need to add to it, as long as your order has not been shipped then please place another order and pay for 2nd class postage. Any over payment in shipping will be refunded to you at the time of dispatch. If you think there is an error please contact us and we shall check. We only charge our customers actual costs for postage and packaging.

If your order arrives damaged, please don't worry. Kindly email us photos of the damaged items along with a picture of your invoice to contact@randallscandles.co.uk This will help us to quickly assess the situation and assist you further.

We can accept most credit and debit cards, along with paypal. Please note we do not accept cheques and all funds must be cleared before your order is dispatched.

At Randall's Candles Ltd we strive to make the collection process as smooth and convenient as possible for our customers. Once your order is ready for collection, our system automatically generates an email notification to inform you that your items are available for pickup. This email will contain important details such as the order number, items included in the order, and the designated collection location. In addition to the collection notification, we understand the importance of providing clear information about our opening times for collection. Getting to the perfect wick for your candle might be tricky, and sometimes needs a little trial and error. There are so many factors that affect the burn performance of a wick. The type of wax, the dye, type and amount of fragrance, type of container etc. All our wicks show the diameter they are designed to melt, but it is not precise. Please look at the description for the wick when buying to give best indication of the one you need. LX is designed to work best with paraffin wax, ECO, TCR and Stabile are designed to work with natural waxes.

Sorry, at this time we do not sell beeswax, nor have wicks specifically designed for it. We might add this in the future however if there is sufficient demand.

Once it reaches the maximum the wax will either separate out and drop to the bottom, or it will slowly leech out of the finished candle. We recommend adding 5-8ml of fragrance oil to 100g of wax (commonly called 5-8%). This can be increased to up to 10% but we recommend not more than 8% as a rule for highly scented candles. Also STIR the wax well to make the oil as thoroughly mixed in as you can, being careful to follow the waxes temperature guidelines for pouring and mixing.

We sell two types of dye, and the amount needed is different for both Bekro dye is more expensive per gram but is far stronger and used at 1-2g per kg of wax. Trust us when we say this dye is the best we have found! It is the one used by the factories. The other option is liquid dye, a little goes along way with this dye so is really cost effective and strong. NOTE. When using natural wax you often need to use more dye than for paraffin wax. Percentages can be changed to give a stronger or lighter colour depending on what you are aiming for. Also colours can be blended to give almost any shade/colour you are looking for. We recommend you test a little wax by letting it cool before you add more colours as of course it is impossible to lessen the amount of dye once added!

While we will make every effort to replace damaged items wherever possible, we may opt to provide a refund in certain cases. In order to facilitate this process, we kindly request picture proof of the damaged items. This helps us assess the extent of the damage and ensures that we can provide the most appropriate solution to address the issue efficiently. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are committed to ensuring a seamless resolution to any concerns you may have regarding the condition of your goods upon delivery.
