Windsor & Oxford Candle Glasses Are Back In Stock!
They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, so we are full of love when we tell you that our Windsor and Oxford Candle Glasses are now back in stock.
Firstly, we are sorry that it has been quite some time, but the global pandemic has caused us huge supply problems that we are happy to say are gradually being resolved.
We will be bringing in a number of new items in the range, but we are starting with our Clear 20cl and 30cl Windsor and Oxford glasses.
The key difference between these glasses is that the Windsor has a curved base while the Oxford has a classically flat base.
The Name Of The Flame
We have taken the opportunity to enhance our glasses with the addition of the Flame logo. This shows that it is a genuine product from us, complies to our quality standards and is part of our new collection.
All of the Windsor and Oxford glass are high quality pressed glassware with thick walls for strength and elegance. Compared to other glassware on the market, these ranges have high clarity as well as quality.
Testing Times
We are only interested in bringing the best quality, service & value to our consumers. Our mission is to be the site where our quality resources meet your creativity so you can manufacture excellent products.
With this in mind we have tested our new Windsor and Oxford glasses to proven industry standards to ensure that they are the very best for candle making available.
Firstly, the glasses are tested to BS EN 1183 – Thermal Shock Testing. When tested, our glasses had a thermal shock resistance of over 80°C. This gives certainty when making candles and using them.
Secondly, they comply with the main standard of ASTM F2179 (Heat Strength of Glass Containers). The glasses pass an annealing test with a real temper number of below 2. This means they are manufactured to a high quality making them a proven choice for candles. If you couple this with the fact that our glasses are pressed and not blown, you have greater reliability of our container strength in use.
Proper caution should be used when burning container candles, as with any other style candle. With the right level of supervision, a glass container candle will give you hours of pleasure from the ambiance it creates, its mesmerizing flame, and the wonderful atmosphere its fragrance brings.
Finishing Touches
In the coming weeks we will be expanding the range with additional coloured glasses along with boxes and new wooden and metal lids too. To ensure that you are using glasses of the highest standard and that are rigorously tested for candle making, always look for the flame logo on the base.
